Longstrike CS-6 Review

This blaster was for its time, a sniper type blaster like the Longshot, however, also for its time, it was just a reshelled Recon, dont let that fool you, it has more than what meets the eye.

 Ergonomics

This blaster excels in this. First, the main grip is really comfortable, which is good because in these type of sniper blasters it requires comfort, I didnt experience the Longshot yet, but this one has a good grip. Second, the grip in the barrel and in the main part of the blaster is good but could be better, mainly that it feels displaced with the barrel extension. And last, the clip is way too far from the trigger, something justified though, the nature of the mechanism doesnt make it easy. 8/10

  Looks

What it is good on, seeing this gun and carrying it really gets you in the mood, it is what I would call a looker, it is more "Snipey" than the Longshot, and by overall, this gun seems to overpass it in looks.

 Accuracy

I am mixed on this one, it depends on the type of darts, how you use the sights, and if you have the barrel extension on, often you will have it on, so its a bugger for me. On the other hand, with the normal iron sights, the gun goes to a shitty level, why grey? it blends with the enviroment, that is as bad as trying to aim to a red wall with a red dot at 1 mile from it.  7/10 with the mechanical sights. 3/10 with the basic ones

 Range

It is a Recon reshell, so there is nothing really to expect, despite that, the range is just a bit better, but not by a lot. 5/10

 Reliability

This blaster surprisingly had no jams compared to what I tested with the Raider and Recon, however, this behemoth is way too big to be easily carried, without the barrel extension, it doesnt feel the same as with it. I have got one complaint: ranges are really inconsistent,  it is capable of shooting left, right, up, and down. No matter if you aim in the exact same spot, the darts most times will change direction. 7/10

 Capacity

6 dart clip, how do I feel? damnit Nerf! 5/10

 PROS

-Doesnt jam (or not as easily)
 -Is quite accurate
 -Comfortable to hold
-Makes you feel better to carry this huge thing
 -Beautiful
-Back up sights are quite good

  CONS

 -Range is still bad
 -Iron Sights suck
 -Accuracy fails
 -Doesnt have an actual scope
 -Far from its sniping position

7/10

Buy it?

Depends on your preference, do you want a sniper rifle? this is for you. Do you want a drum? Raider. Do you want a lot of bells and whistles? Recon, it matters on preference, but I would choose the Recon. (For its generation)

Hello!

This is an introduction for this blog I am making about Nerf, it will be only about reviews about blasters that I get, I might make some other kind of posts but reviews are the focus. The reviews will be picless for the moment, just reading, I am not pic heavy. Hope you like the blog!
